Businesses can help by keeping a small supply of essential items on hand, contributing to donation drives, or connecting with Welcoming Streets when someone nearby may need support. By working together, we can help ensure that vulnerable community members are treated with dignity while also supporting business owners, staff, customers and visitors in the downtown core.

Welcoming Streets used the How to Help GroupMe channel to connect community members and businesses who want to support individuals in need.
This group allows members to communication when someone requires a specific item such as socks, water, gloves, hats, hygiene supplies, or other essentials.
It is a simple way to coordinate support, reduce duplication and respond quickly when needs arise downtown.
