Welcoming Streets Workshops & Courses

Welcoming Streets Onboarding

New to operating in a downtown core? This training gives your staff a solid foundation: who we are, how we work, and how we can support you. Staff will come away knowing the social context of the area they’re working in, who they may encounter, and most importantly, who to call and when. Building this awareness early creates a more confident, compassionate team and a more welcoming business.

De-escalation Training

When you're operating in a busy downtown environment, encountering an overdose or discarded needle isn't uncommon — but knowing what to do can feel overwhelming. This training walks your staff through how to respond calmly and safely, from administering naloxone to handling sharps, so your team feels prepared rather than caught off guard.

Naloxone/Sharps Training

Every downtown business occasionally deals with a disruptive or distressed individual. This training gives your staff practical, easy-to-use techniques for handling tense moments with confidence — reducing risk, protecting your customers, and responding with dignity rather than defaulting to confrontation or calling 911.

General Debrief Session

Dealing with difficult situations at work takes a toll, even for staff who don't consider themselves front-line workers. Our debrief sessions give your team a chance to process what they've experienced, ask questions, and feel supported — helping reduce burnout and keep your staff feeling valued and equipped.
