Proposed 2026 Schedule for LaSalle Causeway

Please find the proposed 2026 schedule for when the LaSalle Causeway will be closed to vehicles (while the modular bridge is removed for marine navigation). Note this schedule is still pending final approval from the Minister of Transport — PSPC will update their webpage once the finalized schedule is available. Go to Canada.ca for details.

Spring (9 am – 5 pm):

  • Sunday, April 19

  • Sunday, May 3

  • Sunday, May 17

  • Sunday, May 31

Summer (9 am – 7 pm, reopens at 10 pm):

  • June 7, 14, 21, 28 (Sundays)

  • July 1, 5, 12, 19, 26 (Sundays, with the exception of Wednesday, July 1)

  • August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (Sundays)

  • Sunday, September 6

Fall (9 am – 5 pm, reopens at 8 pm):

  • Sunday, September 20

  • October 4, 13, 18 (Sundays, with the exception of Tuesday, Oct 13)

  • November 1, 15 (Sundays)

Bridge removal begins at 6 am on each date, with the road closure expected from approximately 9 am. All scheduled closures are weather-dependent — if unfavourable marine conditions are forecasted, the closure will be postponed: Canada.ca

Worth noting for your RoadTrip planning: July 1 (Canada Day) is on the list again this year.
