Introducing Downtown Kingston’s Welcoming Streets Team

The Downtown Kingston BIA - Welcoming Streets program, in partnership with Addiction and Mental Health Services Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (AMHS-KFLA) is a street outreach initiative in Kingston's downtown core. Launched in 2023 as a City of Kingston-backed pilot project, Welcoming Streets fosters a compassionate, inclusive, and supportive environment for all members of the downtown community.

Why it Matters

Welcoming Streets assists individuals in accessing necessary support and services, while collaborating with local service providers, community organizations. In addition, the program offers support to business and property owners to develop a safe, inclusive, and supportive community that addresses the diverse needs of all involved.

How we support individuals and businesses in Downtown Kington by offering:

1. Real-time support via phone or text for non-emergency situations

2. In-person response during our operating hours: 9 AM – 5 PM, 7 days a week

3. De-escalation guidance and training for community members and businesses

4. Connection to vital services such as: Mental health support, Housing and shelter resources, Crisis support and Addiction services

5. Partnership with trusted community organizations, including: AMHS-KFLA, Lunch by George, Kingston Frontenac Public Library and many more

Meet Your Welcoming Streets Team

Let us re-introduce our team with two new additions:

  • Josh Morgan [Manager, Street Outreach] Kingston-born and community-built, Josh Morgan brings a decade of frontline experience in harm reduction and youth justice. He’s seen it all and still leads with heart.

  • Kimberley Dolan [Steward of Street Outreach] Kimberly Dolan is a music therapist that loves all things music and a social justice streak, whether on Kingston streets or in clinical settings, she’s all about tuning into people’s stories and helping them heal.

  • Ainsley Wronski [Steward of Street Outreach] With diplomas in Law Clerk, Paralegal and Child and Youth Practitioner, and a heart of gold, Ainsley Wronski is a dog-loving, food-sharing force of nature. Just don’t get between her and Lunch by George unless you’ve brought snacks.

  • Mrigank Kaushal [Program Administrator] An employment case manager by day and a certified mediator and conflict resolution whiz by night, Mrigank Kaushal brings calm to chaos unless you call football soccer, then it’s game on. When not solving conflicts, he is cheering on cricket, baseball, hockey, and their home team: family

Stay tuned to meet the friendly faces behind the initiative — your partners in creating a welcoming downtown.
